The Career Education and Workforce Development Board members, appointed by the Governor, are leaders of business, industry and rehabilitation services across the state. This board is charged with creating a comprehensive statewide program of career education and workforce development focused on educational opportunities and retention with the goal of economic development.
The Career Education and Workforce Development Board, first established by Governor Asa Hutchinson in 2015 by Act 892, is composed of 13 voting members and by Act 1079, 12 non-voting members. The Board works in conjunction with the Office of Skills Development Division, Department of Commerce.
