The Career Education and Workforce Development Board is composed of thirteen members appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson in conjunction with Act 892. This board is charged with creating a comprehensive statewide program of career education and workforce development focused on educational opportunities and retention with the goal of economic development.
The board’s goal is to help lead the agency towards its mission, which is providing leadership and contributing resources to serve the diverse and changing career educational needs of Arkansas youth, adults, and persons living with disabilities.
There are 13 voting board members who are leaders of business, industry and rehabilitation services across the state. There are also eight non-voting ex-officio members representing state education and economic interests.
